About Me
Prof. Dr. M. Murat Naki was born in Kars, Türkiye. He began his primary education in Kars and completed his secondary and high school education at Erzurum Anatolian High School. In 1991, he was admitted to Istanbul University, Istanbul Faculty of Medicine.
After completing his medical education, he started his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Göztepe Training and Research Hospital through the Medical Specialty Examination (TUS). During his five-year period as a chief resident, he worked as a clinical observer and researcher at the Gynecologic Oncology Department of Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa Faculty of Medicine, as well as at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.
He later continued his academic and clinical work at Dr. Lütfi Kırdar Kartal Training and Research Hospital. After successfully passing the Ministry of Health examination, he was appointed as Clinic Chief and founded the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Bağcılar Training and Research Hospital.
In 2011, he was awarded a subspecialty certification in Gynecologic Oncology Surgery through the Ministry of Health’s subspecialty certification program. Having trained numerous residents across the institutions he served, Prof. Dr. Naki successfully passed the Associate Professorship examination and earned the title of Associate Professor in 2012.
Prof. Dr. M. Murat Naki has performed numerous surgeries in the field of gynecologic oncology and is among the limited number of specialists performing minimally invasive (laparoscopic) gynecologic cancer surgeries using advanced techniques. He is the first surgeon in Türkiye to perform operations using 3D laparoscopy. He is also one of the few certified console surgeons utilizing the advanced da Vinci Robotic Surgery System.
Distinguished by his research and contributions to gynecologic cancers, Prof. Dr. Naki also continues his scientific work on benign gynecological diseases and pregnancy. He currently provides medical services to his patients at his private clinic in Nişantaşı, Istanbul.
His goal is to represent his country at the highest level in the field of gynecologic oncology and to offer his patients the most advanced diagnostic and treatment options by effectively utilizing cutting-edge technologies.
